Salman Khan is an Indian actor. producer, television presenter, and philanthropist. He was born on 27 December, 1965 to Salim Khan and Salma Khan at Indore in Madhya Pradesh, India. He is the eldest son of Salim Khan and his first wife Sushila Charak. His paternal grandfather was a Muslim form Afghanistan who immigrated to India and settled in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Personal Life.
Salman Khan is a celebrated actor and amongst the biggest stars of Bollywood. Moody, caring and unpredictable by nature, Salman is a sought after hero in Bollywood today and completes the formidable Khan trio, alongside Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He runs a charity non- profit organisation, Being Human.
His stepmother is Helen, former actress, who has co-starred with him in a few films. He has two brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and two sisters, Alvira and Arpita. Alvira is married to actor/director Atul Agnihotri. Salman finished his schooling at St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai, as did his younger brother Arbaaz and Sohail. Earlier, he studied at The Scindia School, Gwalior for a few years along with younger brother Arbaaz.
Career.
His Bollywood debut as a supporting role in Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988). His first lead role in a Rajshri Productions' Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) was a box office ripper that led to Salman''s potential as a fine actor to be recognized, as well as won him many awards. His next success came again, under the same director, in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994), which remains as one of Indian cinema's highest grossing films. Some of them films are:

* Blackbuck hunting case (1999): Salman & his co-stars of Hum Saath Saath Hain were acused of hunting blackbuck deer & chinkara (endangered animals) while shooting for the film in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
* Hit-and-run case (2002): Salman drove his car over the people sleeping on the pavement outside the bakery at night. 1 person was killed while 3 person were injured in this accident.
* His relationship with Asihwarya Rai (2002): Aishwarya's parents lodged a complaint against him for harassing their daughter. Later, he denied all the allegations imposed on him saying that he loved her.
* Fight with Shah Rukh Khan (2008): Salman & Shah Rukh fought at Katrina Kaif's birthday party.
